Physikalische Simulation von Objekten
In todays games all interactions with a virtual world are hard coded or based on special rules. Therefore most items that are not essential for the story line are not usable and are just there for decoration. This prevents players from immersing into the virtual world and it gives an artificial impression. This report describes how simple physics (mainly Newtonian mechanics) can help in creating worlds that look and "feel" realistically and, secondly, how interactions can be modelled rather simply, so that complex interactions can be set up quickly.

Cyc - Computer mit Verstand?
Cyc (stemming from encyclopedia) is a bold attempt to assemble a massive knowledge base spanning human consensus knowledge. This report describes the evolution of this immense project, which started in 1984, and gives an overview over the functionality of Cyc. It starts with its representation language, then takes a look at its inferencing mechanisms and the organisation of the knowledge base. The report closes with a glance at existing and conceivable applications and future directions.
